From the first chart, we notice that, by the time goes, no matter what year it is, the unemployment rate of veterans is always higher than the unemployment rate of non-veterans. In the long run, army's rules have affected soldiers deeply, which may make the veterans hard to be the previous one before, like thinking independently, knowing what to do without order. These veterans lack of basic abilities, which will make them hard to socialize with the others.
From the second chart, we can find out that, basically, most of soldiers will have PTSD or same kind mental illness.
Because of lacking of care, low compensations, and unemployment, many veterans have to be homeless, even though they don't want to. Imperfect welfare system makes veterans cannot live with full dignity. Half of them are disabled. That is obvious, especially those who had been in wars. They need the government and us to help them. They are our heroes.
